As part of your child’s education we offer
pupils supervised access to the Internet. By now I am sure you are aware
of the benefits of accessing the Internet and the ways in which it can
enhance your child’s education.
Our Internet access is provided by
Cambridgeshire County Council and is filtered to prevent unsuitable,
illegal or potentially offensive sites from being accessed. We recognise
that this filtering may not be 100% effective against every site we deem
unsuitable for children but feel the advantages of using the internet
far out weigh any disadvantages.
Pupil access will not be unsupervised. During
school, teachers will guide pupils towards appropriate material. At
home, families bear the same responsibility for guidance as they
exercise with any other information sources such as television, films
and radio.
Your child will be made aware of the enclosed
‘Rules for Responsible Internet Use’ that we operate in this school.
These rules are also available to view on the school website.
To support your child’s opportunity for
Internet access, please complete the Permission Form with your child and
return it to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible.
Please complete and return to your child’s
class teacher.
