SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning)

For the past two years we have been teaching some of our PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education) through SEAL.  SEAL is a government document that helps children to develop qualities and skills that help promote positive behaviour and effective learning.  It focuses on five social and emotional aspects of learning:  self-awareness, managing feelings, motivation, empathy and social skills.

The first half of every term's PSHCE teaching focuses on a SEAL unit of work. This half term (Summer 2009) we will be completing the going for goals unit.

Family SEAL

To support the work we do in school, there are activities to do at home as a family.  You can choose any of these activities.  If you complete an activity and your child would like to share what they have done, please bring their work into their class.
